Chamber Annual Gala
A Night of Elegance
Members are invited to attend this evening of celebration as we gather for our annual year-end gala. We are excited to announce our guest speaker will be Jonathan Koop, Founder of Michigan Awesome. Members will enjoy Jonathan's presentation as he discusses persistence within a small business, his own successes and failures, and lessons learned along the way.
6:00pm: Social hour w/ appetizers
7:00pm: Dinner consisting of:
- Italian Chicken - with marinara sauce and topped wtih Provolone cheese
- Top Round of Beef - Chef Carved - seasoned and slow roasted top round of beef served wtih Au Jus
After dinner, Jonathan will begin his presentation. When the presentation concludes, we will announce three prestigious awards that will be presented to outstanding chamber members in the following categories: Community Service, Business of the Year, and President's Choice.

Jonathan Koop, Founder of Michigan Awesome
Jonathan Koop enjoys thinking outside of the box, taking calculated risks, and seeing ideas grow into reality. He graduated from the University of New Hampshire and proceeded to work in a fast-paced advanced manufacturing environment which taught him many valuable lessons. Passionate about small business and big ideas, Jonathan started Small Talk for Kids and add.a.lingua, which offer language immersion classes for kids of all ages. He went on to work in other advanced manufacturing settings, then decided it was again time to take a risk and help something small grow. Jonathan currently owns and works full time for Michigan Awesome. He loves promoting hometown pride, thinking creatively about ways to grow the brand, and ensuring new ideas growing into reality. In his free time, Jonathan loves to run, bike, hike in the dunes, and spend time with his wife and son. He and his wife are expecting triplets in early 2018. Grateful for an amazing support system and team members, Jonathan is eager for other opportunities to promote small business and think outside of the box in the future.
