Event Description:
Light it Up is a 5k Race that will happen on Friday, July 15th, to kick-off the annual Wayland Car Show and Summer Celebration in Wayland the following day. As the name suggests, this race will be ran, (jogged or walked) at NIGHT! Each participant will literally light the night with lights and glow in the dark trinkets. This race will be competitive and both fun in nature. Prizes will be given to our best Night Lighters and for the best times. There is also a one mile kids fun run for the little ones beginning at 8:00pm. The race will be open to all ages. The race will be top notch with professional chip timed (except for the kids fun run). Parents of young children are encouraged to run with their kids. After the race, the kids are welcome to bounce off their leftover energy in some cool inflatables or dance in the streets at the post-race dance party.
