Event Description:
City of Wayland residents have access to the Curbside Recycling Program offered through the City of Wayland. Residents can sign up to receive a recycling cart by contacting the Allegan County Recycling Coordinator at 269-686-4559. Residents can also sign up by visiting City Hall. This program is funded through a residential annual surcharge on tax bills.
The average American produces 4-6 pounds of garbage per day. Half of this could be recycled.
Acceptable Curbside Recycling Materials: Metal cans, plastic bottles or jugs with recycling numbers #1 - #7, plastic bags #2 and #4, paper, cardboard, magazines and newspapers. Please make sure all items are clean and cardboard is broken down inside cart.
