Chamber Annual Gala
A Night of Elegance
Members are invited to attend this evening of celebration as we gather for our Annual Chamber Gala.

President/Owner Win Schuler Foods, Inc.

After spending most of his pre-school years out of the country, Robert grew up in Dearborn, MI. He was active in many activities and sports in and out of school, including baseball, hockey, football, golf, choir and school committees.
After graduating from Dearborn High School (1978), he attended Albion College, Albion, MI, majoring in Economics and Accounting. While at Albion he did a four-month internship at Chevrolet Headquarters in the Comptroller’s office.
He joined Ford Motor Company (1978) – North American Automotive Operations after graduating Albion (1978). At Ford, he was part of a two-man team charged with implementing a new Integrated Bill of Material system for Ford.
The following year, Robert enrolled in Northwestern University’s, J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management where he received his MBA in Marketing and Finance (1981). From Kellogg, he started his long-term career in packaged goods marketing beginning with The Clorox Company, Oakland, CA.
While at Clorox, he managed a number of businesses, including Litter Green Cat Litter, introduction of Hidden Valley Ranch Bottled Salad Dressing, Match Light Charcoal, and Kingsford Charcoal. He also led a long-term strategic planning process for the Kingsford Division.
In 1988, Robert joined Vlasic Foods, West Bloomfield, MI. At Vlasic, he started out running the newly acquired Durkee and Early California Olive business then eventually rose to Director of Sales and Marketing for all the Vlasic brands, Vlasic Pickles and Olives, Open Pit BBQ Sauce and Franco-American Gravy.
He left Vlasic Foods in 1991 and partnered with Tom Bitterman to purchase the Win Schuler’s brand from Campbell’s Soup Company in 1993, forming Win Schuler Foods, Inc.
He remains President of Win Schuler Foods which is comprised of the Win Schuler’s Cheese Spread line and the Win Schuler’s Snack Chip line. Over the years, the company has introduced several new flavors, initiated several packaging improvements, and continues to be the leading cheese spread in the Midwest.
